    “Wild” is an awesome book and almost made me want to hike the trails she did. Almost. I also recommend anything by Bill Bryson – especially his hiking book “A Walk in the Woods” Similar experience to Cheryl’s.

    Also, if you are going to talk Georgia, then you must talk about her male-counterpart Steven Rinella. I enjoyed his book “The Scavenger’s Guide to Haute Cuisine.”

      And totally agree about “Wild”. It really made me want to go hiking – But as a Westerner, I also kept alternating between being impressed and shocked/horrified that she went on that journey with no prep!
