New study reveals more about women who fish and hunt

IN-THE-NEWS

Recently, Southwick Associates released a study about women in the outdoors, their activities, perceptions, purchases and related media consumption.  What’s telling about this study is that although there has been an increase in women who hunt and fish, we’re not more likely to take children hunting or fishing.  In fact men are 20% more likely to take children hunting than women and women are 43% less likely to take children fishing.  What is stopping us from introducing children to fishing and hunting?  How do we make ourselves more confident to do so?  I come to the Camo is the New Black community to ask this question but also challenge us as women to do better.  Keep spreading the word, camo truly is the new black!!

Hi Camo! I know exactly why at least MY reason is. I am a Mom to 3 beautiful daughters. I work home from on the 2 companies I own. I am cook, chauffeur, maid, housekeeper, etc. If I happen to find the time to get outside hunting of fishing I want some peace and quiet. I am constantly educating and answering questions all.day.long. Being outdoors is my break from my chaotic life.
Daddy is much better at teaching them these things. It’s what Daddy’s know and are good at. My $.02
